I have found that removing the useless 2 sided tape that comes with most products and replacing it with the Command Strips works better than anything.
Just follow the instructions and clean the surfaces with alcohol and it will stick to anything.
As for a level I like a Cross Check Level in my freezer and on the floor, you get both in one and is very effective and easy to use.
