Thanks for the "heads up". I guess some of this could be based on your previous purchasing behaviors. We took a trip from So.Cal. to Washington state last November and a much more extensive trip from So. Cal. to Louisiana from May to July without any issues with our credit cards. I should say "with one exception": we did get an email warning of one charge with the notice that we needed to do nothing if the charge was correct, but should notify them if we did not authorize the charge.
But, I think just to be safe, we will notify our key card cos of an upcoming trip.
Sorry to hear of your issues, but thanks for reminding some of us that it is a good idea to share our plans with the credit card companies.
