lighted rocker switch

Have had good luck with switches by JR Products. Come in many different configurations and amperage.

Go to your local Ace Hardware and if they have boating supplies look for the Seachoice brand switches.

i did a quick search on GOOGLE for 'lighted rocker switch' when it loads up select 'IMAGES' and you will see page after page of lighted rocker switches..

Yep I did that, but don't want to end up with a substandard one like before, like always you buy the cheap ones, you get cheap quality

I do not do lighted rocker switches
I do indicator lamps next to non-lighted rocker switches

Works real good.

Not the best source (I usually shop elsewhere) but Radio Shack
Here is one 12 volt (Lamp) assembly from Radio Shack,

12 volt snap in red

And an LED version as well

To connect:
your rocker switch has 3 terminals.. If you are using the LED version you can connect to two of them, with the switch OFF it should light

Hook two two different ones and again it should light

Hook to the remaining pair it will not light

Flip the switch and two of those pairs will change

NOTE: LED's are polarity sensitive so you need to hook up both ways

Once you ID the "Ground" pin, you can hook up more of them easily.

You get your choice of "Switch off, LED on" (Good for say the bathroom light switch) or Switch On LED ON (most other switches)

Go to Peterbilt or any truck dealer. They are heavy duty. Had one on 2 dump valves in my truck so I knew when they had air in the bags.

Switches designed to go into a specific opening are hard to locate and quality is even worse.
Knowing what the opening size needs to be determined.
Then locate the proper sized switch.
Look for the highest amperage rating for a switch that will electrically last longer. This is in theory.
If the switch is the wrong physical size, you can break them easily when trying to install.
