Oversized rocker switches

We have a 2012 Sportscoach Cross Country 385 DS that I'm adding some switched accessories to. Unfortunately after removing the existing blanks I discovered that the openings were approximately 1 7/8" x 7/8". I've tried most suppliers to no avail, the dealer directed me to the manufacturer and I'm still waiting to hear from the parts department.

There is a bank of 4 blanks and I only need two switches. So far, the only solution I have come up with is to purchase a custom base plate to cover the entire area where the four openings exist and use standard rocker switches. My intention is to use a three prong illuminated switch.

Any help while I'm waiting for the factory to respond would be appreciated.
  • I see you are in SE Michigan --(maybe at the present) You might try looking in the White Pigeon area at the RV surplus dealers located there: Bontrager's Surplus, Johnson RV Surplus, and Tom's Borderline Bargains in Constantine. I've bought many parts that are the same or quite similar to components found on our Tiffin and R-vision motorhomes for 1/10 - 1/2 the prices found at RV dealers. The best surplus and parts source in Elkhart at present is Factory RV Surplus.
  • No idea if your Sportscoach has them or not, but many RVs (and boats) use "Contura" switches by Carling. They are rather large. I'd post a picture, but probably easier to google as they come in at least four styles.
  • Have always been able to find the larger switches at Lordco Auto Supplies in Canada! I would think the O'Riellies or other large Auto supply shops would have them!
