Load Range G wheels and tires?

I just found out that I have a few rims with flat spots or are bent in some way. I am seriously considering replacing all 6 with Load Range G commercial 17.5" rim and tires. (details of the rims and tires) It just does not make sense to me to have light truck tires on a vehicle that is 12k lbs minimum, all the time, when there are commercial steel wall tires available that are designed to carry full load all the time.

Has anyone else done something like this?

  • The ride doesn't feel any different to me, I run #75 in the fronts and #85 in the rears. My rig was wandering when I first got them, put new Bilsteins front and rear then had ft end aligned. It handles much better now. Rickson does't sell full wheel simulators just center hub caps. I like them better, not as hard to clean. Any more questions feel free. Like I said, really happy and think that was the best choice I've made.

Nice! If you don't mind, I have a few related questions:

    -How is the ride?
-Was the drivability affected? My initial concern with higher pressures in the front tires is that is might cause a bit of wandering.
    -Did you get full simulators?
