Snowman9000,
A couple of other things I thought of you might want to look for (that our RV has by pure luck - we weren't aware of them when we bought):
- The right side seat back board of the dinette is hinged and can be tipped inward so that the driver's seat back can reclined.
- The underneath areas of both dinette seats are completely available for storage and these storage areas also have doors on their ends so as to get at some items without lifting the dinette seat bottoms. Many Class B+/C motorhomes take up some of this dinette storage volume with the propane furnace and/or a freshwater tank.
Phil,
Both are great points. We looked at some new Winnebagos that seriously cramped the cab seats. They were midsized or longer C's. Sometimes there was a notch in the offending furniture for reclining the cab seat, and sometimes not. The one we are buying has a gap of several inches behind the drivers seat. The passenger seat is ahead of the coach door so that's no issue there.
The SS has dinette end drawers. Our current Trail Lite has both dinette bases filled with utilities. You can tuck a small item here or there inside them, but that's it. We are very happy about all the additional storage in the new unit, both inside and out. We had just gotten used to carrying next to nothing, lol.
