TESTING PARK POWER...I need your advice on 50amp VoltMeters to check park power and/or Surge Proctectors?
Do you use them?
What kind?
Where to buy?
Do you think they're necessary?
and ALL comments? ...THANKS!! - Fyr_guyExplorerPaul, sorry for not getting back to you sooner but my buddy got it fixed. Their was a losse connection in the distribution box under the hood. This friend also has had intermittent problems with his rear slide working and not working and we found the trouble to be in the black box right next to the distribution box and he had a bad module (Power Gear)that was replaced and now works flawlessley.

Paul Turpin Jim, did you get it fixed? You should also check the power line coming into the Load Center that should be under the bathroom sink. Open up the 110 side and you should see the 10-2 Romex coming in from the power cord and the 10-2 Romex generator power cord. If they are not marked inside the box, remove the four corner screws and the complete box can be pulled partway out of the sink cabinet and check the 110 wires going into the box for markings. Check to see if you are getting power from the generator also check to see if you are getting a good connection on your generator wires. I had a bad connection on a 110 wire that had to occur after 2 years of driving down the road. Good luck and let us know how it worked out.

I pulled the electrical panel from under the sink and took a look at the automatic transfer switch attached to its back. I decided that there was not enough slack in allthe electrical cabling, I had no idea what I was doing electrically and that it was too hot in the coach without the A/C (shore power was disconnected) for me to continue further. I know my limitations, both electrical and comfortwise.
I started the genset and low and behold, I've got 120V power throughout the coach. Maybe I'm more skilled than I think I am.
I know that I'll probably have the same problem again but I'm going to wait until I can get some assistance in making the proper tests and /or repairs.
Thanks for your help!

My '04 Pace Arrow 37C runs electrically on shore power but I get no power from my generator. The circuit breakers on the genset are not tripped. This situation has occurred intermittently for the past three days.
I'm thinking my automatic transfer switch is not functioning properly. I will check it tomorrow for power from the genset into the switch and then see if I have power coming out of it. Is there anything that can be done to a malfunctioning switch to repair it or is it replace only?
Anyone know where it is located on my coach?
Thanks!

HELP! Over the weekend my buddy went to his storage yard to get his '05 PA to come to CA and found the coach had no house power. The steps didn't even come down. He bought 2 new house batteries and still no house power. He had stored it with the house kill switch activated but now he can't even hear the switch noise it makes when turning it on/off, any suggestions??

Fyr guy,
Did your friend get his Battery Control Center fixed? Here is a web site that has good info and repair photo's on this and a few other repairs. www.2manytoyz.com/repairtips - Fyr_guyExplorer

I just took the screws out of the bottom strut mounts, moved the doors up where I wanted and reinstalled the screws in the new location.
Bird Freak, I was hoping it was an easy solution. I'll do that this weekend. Thank's!
BTW guys, if your ever around the Central California coast, check out Wine Country RV Resort. It has my seal of approval.

I'd rather not go through 100 pages to find it but I know someone out there knows. Thank's in advance.
