LP Fill Fail

I went to Menards tonight after we filled the tank with gas, so that I could get a fill on LP. The girl screwed the nozzle on the fill port and pulled the trigger, gas shot out the vent, so she tried it again. After the second try I made sure the vent was screwed in tight, then she pulled the trigger again and the same thing happened, LP gas shooting out the vent. Did she do something wrong or am I in need of a new vent? I have had it filled at other places without this happening.

    how do you exchange a built in motorhome lp tank, not like I can go to the hardware store and buy a new one, maybe a new vent valve

    What do you mean by vent? Pressure relief Valve?
    Take haste to a propane dealer, not a dispenser. A place with the 20,000 gal tanks that has repair service.

    I wouldn't even mess with it; time for an exchange. Yeah, you take a small hit initially, but let somebody else worry about checking/fixing it.
