Lug nuts for 2002 Ford E-450 (Winnie Minnie 2003)

My rv is missing 1 lug nut and I could not find it anywhere on the net . America tire co told me that I had to go to the Ford dealers. Have anyone purchased lug nuts for your RVs ? Mine is a Winnie Minnie 2003 (Ford E450). Do you have a link to the online stores ? Here is my picture of my wheel . I am hoping to find the same nuts.

  • We have the same year Minnie that you have. The lug nuts on ours are stamped with a torque value of 140 lb-ft.

I was thinking more along the lines of damage to the threads on the lug itself caused by what looks like prolonged contact with the rim. Again noting that it's hard to tell from the pic, if the threads on the lug are damaged a new nut may not stay on for long. Replacing a lug isn't necessarily that hard, but it's harder than just replacing a nut!

I'd recommend that at the very least, those threads be well "cleaned" by use of an appropriately sized die.
  • Looks like mine 2003 (f-350) sort of except I have 4 big holes in wheel instead of many little ones...But wanted to relay when I was looking up torque I found out there is 2 or 3 torque values for different lug nuts and all OEM by the way and all 2003. Yes, all 20-30 pounds within each other but you want to get exact same thing IMO. If you pull of another (maybe different wheel) in little tiny letters on outside rim near the inside edge you might see some small numbers stamped in, maybe 30 font size (real small) that was my torque value..at least on the ones I have. Or maybe spare is kept in place by same type?

You would think they could afford bigger numbers!

  • Rockauto has them and you could probably find them at your local NAPA store.
  • If that lug is as off center as it looks in the pics you might have bigger problems than just a missing nut.

    That said:

Take one of the other nuts off and go to an autoparts store. If they don't have an exact replacement on the shelf, they can measure/tell you exactly what to buy/look for elsewhere.
