They install very easily with a rod. No need for a ladder.
When wet a quick shake before rolling them up gets off 90% of the water.
If you think they are not worth the price, then don't buy them. Luckily he has a huge backlog of orders, so not everyone feels as you do.

I have a total of five Magna Shades. One is for a set of double windows on the side of the coach they custom made for me. I sent Roger the dimensions...done deal. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but they are very high quality. And, as noted above, Roger is just a phone call away.

I just wish they could be ready sooner than 3 weeks. Suppose that anything worth having is worth waiting for????

Thanks for reassuring me that the stationary magnets that go on the outside are not big, obtrusive things.
Since I've not been able to decide on a picture for the front I just may go with the solid color. According to the info on the web-site the brown and black are best at reducing inside temps. Since my coach is brown I think I'll go with that if no picture can be decided upon. Another advantage is the solid colors are less expensive.
We have a pull down shade over the door window on the inside so will probably not worry about that window, at least not at the moment.

For full disclosure, I have no interest in the company other than when I see a product that I like, I tell people about it. I think you will very happy with the product. Only bit of advice that I will give you is take your time when installing the magnets. Push the magnets in the shade to their extreme outside periphery, and make sure that you have a helper on the outside make sure that they hold them tight when you go to place the inside magnets. The magnets are very strong, and they will move if you don't hold them securely. Trust me it is a bear to reposition them once you allow the adhesive to take hold. We have the flip shades for the driver and passenger windows on our 2010 Canyon Star. Works great. When in the up position it really helps cut out the glare when the sun is in that just wrong position and blinds you when traveling. Once we get stopped for the day, simply pull the shade down and it blocks most of the sun for the entire window.
We also have the MagnaShade for the windshield. Man, that thing is easy to put up. I see guys struggling with ladders and such putting their windshield shades up.....mine takes less than a minute.
We have had great response from Roger as well. Had a small issue with one of the magnets. He was quick to respond and resolve the issue.

The video for the flip shade really is un-informative on how the shades attach. Only that they are new and hang on the inside.


I agree that so far the customer service has been exceptional from the folks at Magne.

Is your front window screen a solid color or did you opt for a picture?

The door window shade has the magnets on the outside. I am not sure why he elected to do it that way. The only reason I can think of is that it allows for smaller magnets, hence lower cost. The magnets are black in color, and unless you really look for them, they are not that noticeable. One other small issue is that by putting the magnets on the outside, it allows the positioning to be to the extreme edge of the frame, whereas on the inside, depending on how the door is finished, you may not be able to get the magnets to the edges of the frame. I hate to say it, but if I were to do it again, I think I would forego the door screen, and just install another MCD manual shade on the inside. Then my wife would be able to control the sunlight that always seems to come through the door when driving. The drawback would be that when the shade is down when parked, entry and exit is a bit impaired by the screen, whereas when it is on the door, it is out of the way.

My shade is the solid black which Roger agrees is the most popular and best at controlling the sun.
