Michelin 22.5 tires

Why would they be worth that kind of money, when so many other brands that are out there, will do the job, just as well?

Had Continentals on our last coach, no problems at all. But, same for Toyos on coach before that and Michelins on the coach before that.

I am replacing Michilen XZE2+ tires next week, 6years old and cracks all over side walls. Not worth the price. Going with hankooks or sumitomo tires. My tire dealer says he has had great luck with sumitomo tires and hankook is his second pick. But he sells all the top brands.

I'm no Michelin fan, but I've got 8 to replace next month and after shopping like crazy and listening to all the talk I'll probably go back to the Michelin (now X Line Energy Z). Toyos are about $1,000 cheaper and were definately my #2 choice, but they are not the exact size for my coach.

PS - I was carrying the FMCA published discount rate in my left pocket in both Michelin Commercial Tire Stores I shopped at, and walked out with quotes over $20 cheaper per tire than FMCA in my right pocket. The FMCA discount really varies by tire.

Thank You very much for everyone's input. I just went ahead and ordered the MICHELIN XZE2+ for my coach. I was told that there is an unlimited mileage and time warranty against any defects. Wasn't my deciding factor because I don't believe it, so whatever...Seems to be a good load range J tire, so I went with it.

I replaced the original XRV tires with XZE (stiffer sidewall)for the second 7 years. In 2108 I was told XZE were no longer made so I'm Back to XRV tires. Be sure to use FMCA's Michelin deal. I saved a bunch

IN another time and place the FMCA discount program is being discussed. I got a "Ditto" when I posted what happened last Oct
I priced Mitchlin XRVs at 3500 plus install
I got Toyo's installed for 2300 out the drive

NOW.. I'm told my TOYO's won't last as many MILES as the Mitchlins would....

But the old tires the tread was still good Very good. Many thousands of miles of tread left.. The tires "Aged" out (which they do in 7-10 years) And the TOYO's are expected to last ... The same 7-10 years. For over 1000 less. I'll stick with TOYOS.

Oh they are not "Identical" size wize but the difference means my Speedometer is off by LESS THAN 1/2 mph at 60 MPH.. Not enough to even care.

Replaced ours with Hankooks, they ride better and have less side to side movement as you drive, and were over $1000 cheaper than the Michelins. Very happy with them.
