Check with "America's Tire" which is what our local "Discount Tire" is but Out West.
Discount had no problems with M&B and installation of custom valves. I was already in the midst of brake work, so I had the four rear wheels off when I found I wanted tires. So I just took the fronts off and dug the spare out rather than put the rears back on just for Discount to take them off again. They had Coates tire machines that break the bead with the wheel leaning against the base of the machine. Then they put it up in the traditional flat position to crank the old off and the new on. Then they inflated them in a blowout cage like big rig tires. VERY safety oriented. All they do is TIRES. No Brakes, Alignments, A/C, etc.
I believe they can sell Michelins and also do the recall swapouts.
Please DO get Tire-Man or "Borg" custom valves. At least the Rears. For Front and Spare, you need slightly longer metal stems (or you can't get gauge/chuck onto them). There are also 15-degree angled custom stems. Those are in Tire-Man kits. You may need to expedite getting custom stems. If you need to, you can call Chuck at Tire-Man and I'm sure he'll step up. I have a phone number for Bill at Borg and I know he'll do that. I damaged one and Bill got me a replacement PRONTO, all the way cross country. And, **I** DAMAGED it, no fault of Discount Tire.
Funny, just got off the phone with the local America's tire and they beat tire rack.com. After the 22nd of this month Michelin is giving $70 dollar rebate on four tires. I need different valve stems for the rear, can't check the pressure without difficulty. I am going to look at their website. thanks for the info.
