Mirror replacement

I have just got a 1995 Damon Challenger class A 42 ft. long. I drove it from So. CA. back to Washington state. The passenger side mirror got knock off ripping the fiberglass and some of the board under. I found a replacement mirror. Now my question is does anyone know how I can repair the damaged spot and replace fiberglass so that I will be able to attach new mirror? Please help me!!!! Thanks for any help.

  • Fiber glass bath tub repair kit from Lowes or Home Depot.
    Comes in white and bisque
Repair a ladder support using small piece of glass mat and resin.
    Drilled new hole.
  • If you don't want to repair the fiberglass yourself, call some boat repair facilities. They do fiberglass repair often.

If you want to do it yourself, there's some info in my post about repairing a hole in my fiberglass front cap...link below.

  • I would guess that hitting something hard enough to tear off a side mirror might have caused significant damage. I would get some repair estimates before deciding if it's a DIY repair. Might also contact your insurance company.
