Mobil Service to fix Wiper Blades

I have a 2013 Holiday Rambler Vacationer on F-53 Chassis. On our way to Arizona, the wiper blades stopped working. The blades will go up to the top of window but will not go down. The motor will continue to run even after I turn the wipers off until I go out and manually push the wipers down. I want to get the wipers fixed before I leave Arizona at the end of February. I would rather have a mobil service come to my RV site to fix them. Does anyone know of a good mobil service in the Mesa/Apache Junction area that would be capable of fixing my windshield wiper problem?
  • Thanks so much for the information. I have tried tightening the nut attached to back of the wiper arm. It did not help. I will look a little closer at the various parts of the mechanism. I will also try to see if there are any suggestions at the RV office.
  • With my HR the motor was moving but the wiper blades were not...the gear inside the arm stripped out ..I had to order new arms and all was well again..Driving home from Alabama in teeming rain with only 1 wiper driver side...not fun...Can you see if the spindle is turning under the wiper arms?...if so, that's your problem...if not, the linkage would be up under the front hood panel..just look up and you should see it..then see where nut is loose or arm is off the drive/linkage..
  • Just take a moment and look up under your hood. It sounds like the nut fell off or is loose like "enblethen" stated. It might be as simple as just tightening a loose nut.

Just like any campground, open the hood, stand there looking at it for a few minutes, like you're trying to repair it, and you'll probably find three guys who will show up and fix it for you.

If you do look up under there, take some WD40 and spray all the moving wiper mechanisms. It's one of the places that gets/stays dry and dusty and will later effect how well your wipers work.
  • Ask RV park. They most likely have a list of local mobil repair guys. Sounds like a loose set screw or bolt. Pretty simple fix.

Is there no one in your camping area, that's familiar with the locals and if not, try calling a chamber of commerce for a recommendation.
In fact, call anyone, which usually leads to someone else and then to someone else who knows the best.
  • I do not know how accessible your wiper motor is, but it is possible that the nut has come loose that attaches the linkage to the motor.
