- mscampingExplorerThe HRRVC director/president and also director of the 419 Pusher chapter met with Snell at Decator In. and it sounds like the Roadmaster chassis as we know it is gone.. Sounds like it's going to be a mix of parts from Freightliner and Roadmaster.. Which to me means a Freightliner chassis.. They are also are looking at bringing back the Navigator.. Mike Mathews..

A fine way to differentiate would be to put a Roadmaster Chassis under it. Otherwise it will be another BoundTradiHeritage.
I'll drink to that.
Sure would hate to see the best motorhome chassis in the industry go by the wayside.
Gimme an rr8r or rr10r, with a cummins motor, I'm good to go, the rest is just fluff. - JetAonlyExplorerA fine way to differentiate would be to put a Roadmaster Chassis under it. Otherwise it will be another BoundTradiHeritage.
- doxiemom11Explorer IIWe have an older Monaco and love it. I hope they get it figured out and have a quality build by the time we are ready for a new one.
- tinkererExplorerI think the Monaco people will be thankful that ASV bought out Monaco. Since they have bought out Fleetwood I can't say enough good they have done for that company when it comes to technical service and part availability.:)

He still can't tell the truth, even though he has been with 3 different Monaco branded companies so far. ASV sold the Roadmaster chassis tooling equipment, plus destroyed ALL spare parts for the current Roadmaster chassis and has publically stated that the Monaco will be built on the Fleetwood Liberty chassis. That is way more than "cross pollination" IMO.moisheh wrote:
As far as I know there are no ASV Monacos built and for sale. The web site is actually the Navistar web site. They show Navistar engines which will not be used by ASV. I would expect they will have models at one of the big shows this winter.

I think Moisheh is on the mark with this post. I talked to Mike Snell a couple of months ago as they were working toward a final specification for their first ASV coaches. He said they were keeping their design and engineering people completely separate from the Fleetwood folks and he expected no cross pollination between brands.
I'm sure they would like to have a show coach or two available for the big Tampa Super Show in mid January. - univmdExplorerAccording to an interview with Mike Snell, it appears that ASV Monaco is not producing any motorcoaches at this moment, not even the 2014 Navistar Monaco Dynasty, any for sale now, are leftovers. I doubt there will be any new Monaco Coaches for the 2014 Tampa show. It is too late. ASV is still figuring out how they will differentiate Monaco from American Coach.

Monaco and Fleetwood are entirely different manufacturers.
Yes and no. Both are owned by ASV.
Oh, I missed the acquisition announcement:
