My understanding of Mixed Fleet includes those oils being OK for the old-time flat tappet engines. Some of the newest offerings have a reduced Zinc-something called ZDDP that helps flat tappets but can shorten the life of catalytic converters.
V10's along with most newer V8's, have joined the Roller Tappet crowd and need less zinc. They also have tolerances suited to lighter weight oils.
V10 was a revolutionary change from 460, not an evolutionary one. So I'd suggest not adopting a recommendation for 460 that's based on V10 and other revolutionary engines.
When we had an '83 460, just over 100,000 miles, I used 10W-30 dino oil. The V10 we have now moves much more weight and much bigger frontal area, at about the same MPG the 460 got. But down'n'dirty off-the-line, even hill climbing, GRUNT... 460, Please.
