The Schwintek Slide system is definitely where all the problems began.

There is more people than the OPer that are complaining about Thor products, the slide systems they use are also junk as far as I am concerned..
Sorry for all the problems you have been going thru OPer, I remember your 1st problems with the 1st Thor, slide out nearly falling off..
I looked at a Palazzo that had a broken slide which wouldn't close, sitting on the dealer's lot. Needless to say, I was not impressed. - timmacExplorerThere is more people than the OPer that are complaining about Thor products, the slide systems they use are also junk as far as I am concerned..

If I were in his position, I would feel the same way. Thor wants to have the least expensive DP on the market and in doing so maybe they are turning out a product that is less than perfect. I agree that anything man made can and will have some issues but this guy isn't asking anything more than some simple pride in what the workers turn out. Nothing more than what we all expect when we spend our hard earned dollars.

I have never had this number of issues with anything else I have ever bought including houses, cars, boats even other RV's. This is why we buy brand new. I have seen people take to the news and youtube on other lemons. This is no different. I tried to get Thor to buy back this Palazzo a long time ago. They would not do that. We are way past that now. I am just dealing with what I got. BTW, My video is not the only video out there about poor QC on the Palazzo.
What are your intentions? Actually warning others about your problems, because your video really showed common problems with most other RV manufactures.
Using this forum as a platform to complain about Thor ( not that they don't deserve it)? If so, is this really going to make you feel better in the long run about your problems? Will it solve them?
Not to many people would ever get a new motorhome from the manufacture to replace their first one because of problems. So many here would side with Thor that they did do more for you then most people would ever get. They actually built two MH 's to help resolve your complaints ( even if one was involved in a accident). They most likely have not made a dime from you. I think your stuck with this "new" MH and are going to have to deal with having the issues fixed under warranty as everyone else.
The quality issues with RV manufactures has been discussed on this forum until infinity. It's unfortunately the norm. Your unit is no different. We all know how frustrating it is. You just have to suck it up and work thru the issues. Our almost year old MH has been into the dealer and Freightliner this week to get things fixed. Sooner or later you will be having fewer problems.
You're going to have to learn to understand this and accept it as the norm or your never going to be happy. And yes it is a beautiful MH. Maybe a extended warranty is a good investment for you? - Fla_Tom1ExplorerIt is funny when you expect an expensive rv to be built with any standard of care and you post about problems people attack you and tell you that no one should expect a quality build.
- timmacExplorerI also have seen where Palazzo/Thor is giving huge discounts now on the 2014 diesel motorhomes, almost same price as a new gas models, I wonder if they are unloading them..
Beware buyers.. - WyoTravelerExplorerJMHO. Not sure anyone, unless unlimited funds, can buy any RV for $150k then just dump it. Most people have large mortgage on an RV.
- wolfe10ExplorerAgree-- show the FACTS/actual issues. Don't need commentary on FEELINGS.
Plan the video out-- go from one issue to the next-- just the facts-- much more effective than showing how mad you are.
