This is a long shot but does anyone know of a NASCAR race track within 5-6 hours of South Carolina where I might could get a site on the infield for one of the races this year? Not Darlington. I use to go there but it got too crazy on my last trip and I actually feared for my motorhome. I kind of miss going to one and just thought I'd ask. Atlanta, Talladega, Charlotte, all possibilities but not sure about infield availability, etc. Any suggestions?

Back to Daytona in the summer, a little longer than 6 hrs.

Talledega is insane. I love it, but they don't like Northerners like me so it's been a little hairy at times. If you really want to know what it's like to fear for the safety of your motor home, that's the place to be. Charlotte's a tough ticket for infield camping and probably not worth the effort to try. I had to use a connection with one of the race teams to get a spot. I can't help you with Atlanta as I haven't infield camped there before. X2 on Daytona if the drive is within your desired distance. It's always one of my favorites and I can't wait to get back there to see the recent upgrades to the facility.
