- hipowerExplorerWhile the 'new look' is very subjective and appeals to some and not others, myself in the category that really doesn't like the new front ends, I wonder about the previous comment about the Navistar engines.
The Navistar engine line would seem to be well proven in their OTR truck products and if the HP/torque curves fit in an RV application it would seem to be a good alternative to Cummins, Cat and Detroit. - SRTExplorerI must be the only one that thinks the new front caps are too gaudy. The new front caps, IMHO, could have the "big" chrome "V's" be a little more subdued. But then I'm not going to be buying a new(er) rig.

I sincerly hope this means the new line will look more like an RV than an OTR truck.

The New Look is one of the things we really like about the new Monaco's, it's refreshing to see something that has a distinguished and different look.
I agree completely. I love the new looks of the front and rear caps. It would be a shame if they went back to just being a boring box with a windshield, but obviously visuals are all a matter of opinion. - Golden_HVACExplorerHere is the website for the new company owners.

They seem to have dozens of manufacturing buildings all over the United States.

"I talked to the head sales guy at the show and asked if he heard the news re Monaco being bought by Fleetwood. He said no, so I just happened to have it cued up on my iPhone and showed him the article.
He read it a grimaced. Then stated "and we are so frustrated with the lack of quality of what is coming out of Fleetwood, we are seriously considering dropping the line." You know he was thinking "what's going to happen to Monaco/HR???"."
AND from another
"I also have talked with my contact at LD and he informed me that they
are having a lot of issues with the new Fleetwood and AC coaches." - MRUSAExplorerIf they drop the Navistar engines, they could again be a contender. But any company that is on its third owner in four years has a lot to prove.

Glad I'm on my last motor home. We've had HR's since 1991 and really liked the brand. We've been lamenting that there are few dealers left. The old Monaco screwed too many existing dealers because of their bankruptcy so other dealers didn't want to pick up the brand. Hopefully this new management will redesign the front ends of the new HR's. Hate the "new" look.
We have a 2012 HR Ambassador and love it and absolutely LOVE the "new" look! Hope they do well in this new venture! IMO

Personally, I don't care who owns Monaco, as long as we can get parts and all the good stuff that comes along with it.

Amen to that...as long as there is tech support etc ..and someone is there to answer my call and look up the info I need...I will be happy. - SCVJeffExplorer
