Need air pressure gauge and chuck

I've had the same braided extenders my coach came with (2001) I protect them by getting clear plastic tubing and slipping the tubing over the extenders until it stops...then cut to size. That's for the (rear)inside tires. For the outside rear tires, I use a curved solid extender, then put a 2 inch straight extender on that. I also put the clear plastic tubing on that. If anything hits or rubs against the wheel or cover, only the plastic gets it. Makes checking the air so much easier...and I've not had any problems.

Cost is a bit out of my range currently though. All my extra cash is going to gas in Michigan right now.

My son was not happy with the ones on his tractor trailer. Lost two tires when one tire blew out and destroyed the Cat Eyes and connecting hose to the other tire. He now sells heavy truck equipment and does not recommend them.

I use Alcoa Air Chuck & Service Gauges .





Notice how the models 001805 gauge and 003700 chuck are both 180º reverse which allows easier access to valves located in tight, hard-to-reach places. These 180º reverse chuck and gauge are the only style that will work on my Alcoa wheels! The more common 30º reverse angle chuck and gauge (Like the reverse of the Milton in the above link) will not work in tight holes.

The end with the lever has a standard threaded hole, so you can add a hose, quick connect or whatever you want to it.

I looked at the Milton and need to ask does it work on the outer wheel without a 180degree extender? Also does the end with the lever connect to the quick release on my compressor hose? If so, I assume you couldn't use it at a gas station.

this is close to what I have, Not sure of the name,

I had the same problem on my 22.5" tires. When I picked up the DP at the Monaco factory 10 years ago one of the managers gave me a top of the line set of extenders. I had one fail last year at 45,000 miles and Les Schwab replaced it for nothing. I wouldn't be able to check my rear tires without them. Go for it!!!
