I had a 21' Chinook which is considered by some to be a B+. It was based on a Ford E350 with the V10. I got 11MPG no matter what I did - idle, in neutral, with tailwind falling downhill it would still get 11MPG. I traded for a Roadtrek 210 Popular with the 6.0L engine. The Roadtrek is a Class B. I've got 30,000 miles on it. Traveling at 65-70 on a recent 5000+ miles trip my overall average was 16.5 MPG. I've done two 2000+ miles trips dragging a Jeep Wrangler and on those trips I was averaging 12.5 MPG. All three of these trips were into or over the Rockies. Comparing the size, room and ride of the Roadrek to the Chinook - about the same size but the Roadtrek handles and rides a lot better. Interior room seems to be a bit more in the Roadtrek. If I was looking at another RV at this point I'd probably be looking at the new Leisure Van Free Spirit SS. It appears to have a better layout with full dry bath and a lot more storage, plus gets even better MPG,
Oh, the wet bath in the Roadtrek isn't all that bad if you're comfortable taking sit down showers. You do have the option of showering in the aisle, On two of my long trips I traveled with my GF. It was a bit cramped but we survived and didn't kill each other (yet).

Do any of you that own a class B wish you had gotten a Class B+ or Class C instead?
I think I am mostly worried about the wet bath and the holding tank size. Is the shower really usable in the B? I want the conveniance of using the bathroom facilities in the rv instead of the campground.
