When I bought a coach under similar conditions in FLORIDA, I paid the lending company direct. As it turned out, the seller also had to pay the lending company his share of the payoff.
In any case, once the loan was paid, the lending company contacted the DMV, ELECTRONICALLY, removing the lien from the coach. The coach was still in the sellers name at this point. The seller and I then made a trip to a Florida DMV office(it can be any FL office) and he asked for a copy of the title. We got the title, he signed it over, and the transfer was complete.
Fl uses electronic titles so once you leave the DMV, you will have a physical title in your name, printed on the spot.
