We're presently awaiting some bids on colored concrete for the side yard parking where guest motor homes and our boat parks. It's presently colored decomposed granite and, is really flat and nice but, both the wife and I hate those little tiny gravel pieces being tracked into the nice garage next to that parking or, even into the new house.
So, concrete is in our near future too.

We are getting steel reinforced. No plans to use fibermesh. Your side yard setup sounds nice!
