- BruceMcExplorer IIIIt was the first thing I verified - the Dot Sequence. I then verified the date on 2 of the 6; the date is only on one side and it so happens all four on the rear are turned inward. I purchased them at the same time, so it's likely they are within the range.
- MNtundraRetNavigatorWell I checked mine out today.
They were M3JH AEEX and date code of 4411. While mine were manufactured in the time frame, they have a different DOT Sequence.
I am happy with the fact that were not part of the recall. They have no signs of cracking. The original Michelins never showed any very slight cracking until nearing 10 years at replacement.
Some replies here mentioned only the manufacturing date. Did the DOT Sequence also match? They have more than one line, or plant, producing tires so both sets of numbers must match the recall. Not just the date. - dan-nickieExplorer

I made a call to them this AM and it sounds like I will get reimbursed. I just had all replaced in October because of cracking. I had to pay around $750 out of pocket and now they are recalling them!
Good to hear.
I was hoping to get reimbursed for the 2 failures I had in October as well. - ScottMackExplorerHi all,
Interesting - just for a frame of reference, four of mine were manufactured 4609 and two during 4409 - just 7-9 weeks prior to the earliest recall date. We have about 19,000 miles on them and they look virtually brand new - no inkling of any sidewall cracking. Hopefully we will won't experience any separation issues with ours. I guess like anything else, they can have a "bad run".
Also, it wouldn't affect Class C's, but some of their 18" and 20" LTX M/S 2's are also being recalled (on a separate notice).
I hope everyone affected gets taken care of quickly and painlessly! - BruceMcExplorer IIII stopped by Costco this afternoon, they were unaware of this recall. I showed them the website, then they looked at their messages from Michelin. Corporate is putting together the customer communication, customers will be notified in a matter of days.
They were well aware of the previous recall on the Lattitudes, and was pleased that I gave them a heads-up on this one regarding the LTXs. They'll be contacting me when they have further information. - jamesk1ExplorerI made a call to them this AM and it sounds like I will get reimbursed. - elfhearseExplorerI had a newer batch on my 12 E450/13 Winn. Aspect - B7JH AEEX, so no new LTX 2's for me.

I have the tires but my fronts are 3611. The rears have the e2 designation exactly the same as chinrv above. So does that mean mine were made the 36th week of 2011, exactly within the recall? Is that the way you guys read it?
No. As I explained above, the E2 is an ECE certification and has nothing to do with the date code. BTW, E2 means the certification originated in France - that's all it means. The number immediately to the right signify the document numbers of the certification - again, not tied to the date code.
So your tires may or may not be within the recall period. If purchased at the same time, it is quite likely they are, but it is not definite. - j-dExplorer IIMikeRP...
Yes, 3611 would be as you describe, the 36th week of the year 2011
I'm interested to see how this plays out at the dealers. Pure curiosity, since we aren't on Michelins... - locsterExplorerDammit. I replaced 4 of them under warranty for sidewall cracking a couple months ago. I had to pay prorated price for new ones. Oh well, at least now I can get all the other 3 replaced for free.
Thanks for the info.
