The new owners expanded the services extended previously to American Coach to all DP owners.

Support is excellent, even for vintage coach owners like me.

X-2, All the RV manufactures are like this they need to build them better rather then mass produce them! I believe they can create a waiting list (demand) for there coaches by doing this! Build a lower number of coaches and build them better!

I always buy new everything because I like new stuff. Maybe I’ve just been lucky or maybe I’m too stupid to recognize a problem. Bought a new 2011 Coachmen Mirada and only had 2 minor issues that the dealer quickly took care of to my satisfaction while I waited in their customer lounge. Bought a 2014 Tiffin Allegro 36LA and no issues so far. To each his own with new versus used. I am looking forward to visiting the Tiffin operation in Red Bay some day just to see it if for no other reason.

I had not read the five pages of comments but much of the problem is do to 1) each motor home is stick build one off which leads to quality problems which must be fixed after the sale by owners request. The other problem is the sales contract will very specifically absolve the dealer of warranty responsibility. They are merely the intermediary between supplier and customer.
That being the as is.... there is value in buying a 1-2 year old unit that has had the issues worked out

Ps old units can look dated with colours in no time, crt tv's are obsolete, brass fixtures look gross etc.
Perhaps that is why I always tend to buy new cars

I like Tiffins, but I would never run up to Red Bay to get things fixed. If they could not fix the problems where I bought the coach, I would be looking for a different company. It really surprises me how many people run up to Red Bay and think that is a great thing. And I am surprised this company does not have satellite repair shops through out the country that could handle the problem close to the owner of the coach. I remember I had a small problem while in Florida and even Gulf Stream told me not to worry and to take the coach to a shop in Wildwood, Florida to get the problem resolved.

This has been our experience as well. We have been to Red Bay twice just for our own peace of mind because we can watch the work being done and ask the questions from those that know. The first time was for warranty work and there was no charge, even for the campground. The second time was for a variety of things including new shades and a "bumpy front slide." Before this was finally repaired there were 6 techs including the shop manager looking over the problem before finding a broken tooth on a cog. This took well over two hours to find and fix but we were charged a half hour labor. They also found and fixed a leak in my roof by using a machine to put positive pressure inside and soapy water on the roof. Where they found bubbles there was the leak. Of course, it was worn out sealant that I should have replaced but didn't. I recently got another leak, went on top and put down a new bead of silicone and Voila! no more leak. That was a lesson learned that was more than worth the money. On the other hand, I have a 12 year old house that I have had to replace the refrigerator, and microwave, several light switches, garbage disposal, the compressor on one AC unit, and two water heaters, and that doesn't move down the highway!! We are quite happy with our Tiffin.
