New Mystery Noise in Dash

This morning our 1998 Monaco Windsor developed a noise behind the dash, more specifically right behind the right a/c vent, to the right of the steering wheel. It sounds like a circuit clicking, or similar to the turn signal click in a car. It is happening like clockwork every five seconds, and there is no live power - the ignition is off. The only thing that we have changed lately is that we got the dash air-conditioning working but that was several days ago. This just started this morning. Any ideas?
  • Sounds like a relay, for your a/c, to let your compresser shut off. get under the dash, it will be a little 1 inch square box. you will be able to tell which one by the clicking, pull it out. Go back to the A/C service shop and tell them to put in the right relay! Since you just had the A/C done and it started after, I would bet that's it, same thing happened to me, the mech. put in the wrong relay!
  • We have a noise like that it started last trip, but is coming from the fuse box area at the drivers feet. It starts after we turn power off on lights and such to go to bed or turn off the tv, actually started when we were hooked up to power for the first time at a campground. Will be interested in what others have to say.
  • No clock in the dash, and this is much louder than that. We can hear it at the other end of the coach.
  • What kind of clock, if any, is in the dash? Some old automobile clocks use to wind the spring every 5 or 10 sec.
