Better do a odometer check or recalibrate your scangage (or maybe check your DH's calculations). - jrlibbie09Explorercurious, why are you considering moving from a diesel to gas? I usually here the other way. Thanks
- rr2254545ExplorerOn our 2008 we got 6-7 average over 22,000 miles we drove it.
- Roadglider09ExplorerAt no point did I say I was "worried" about mpg. I merely asked the question as we are considering moving to a gasser.
Everyone else - thanks for the info. - Mike_M2ExplorerYea, great mileage compared to my boat. It burns 40 gallons an hour at 4200rpm's.....

Elizabeth - BillMFlExplorerWith a 38' I get between 7 and 8 running at 65 to 70. Running slower doesn't make much difference. My twin diesel 43' trawler gets a little more than 1 mpg. If you got to worry about mpg drive a prius but they don't come with king size beds and a full galley. :)
- Dale_TravelingExplorer II2006 18K lbs. chassis with an average rolling weight around 15.5K. Best was 8.4, worst 6.3 and my average is 7.3 MPG. Flats, east coast version of mountains, sometime pulling a Honda Accord 2 door. I usually cruise at 2500 RPM which is around 63 MPH.
- chuckftboyExplorerI thought all V-10's got 6.5 to 7 MPG no matter how you drive them atleasst thats what I get no matter if I do 60 or 70 MPH.
- traveylinExplorerAs a blue water sailer would say with the wind at my back and a following sea, I can get 9 mpg. But with a head wind, an incline and traffic 6 is possible
