Lumpty, that valve you referred to is for the fresh water tank, not the plumbing. Unless you have another valve for the FW tank.
My FW tank valve is on the blue line in the middle of the picture:
The picture isn't showing up, but I can offer that on my '11 it is most definitely the low point drain, tee'd off the water line. The only plumbing piece that holds any water after dumping the fresh via turning that valve is the water pump strainer. I'd take a picture of my plumbing but it's 10:20pm and raining.
If two of the same model RV have different systems installations it isn't exactly uncommon. They are pretty much hand built and not necessarily by skilled craftsmen.
