We are very happy with our 02 Dutch Star. Haven't had any major issues with ours with the regard to the "Newmar" (House) portion. 13 years old and still solid as a rock. Any of the issues we've had were typical with Chassis/Engine components.
We are the same way, nothing on the coach body.
WE have replaced these items
steering ball joints due to the rubber rotting away, thus they wouldn't hold grease.
Converter/inverter, auto transfer switch, we are the blame for that failure when we plugged it in to a reversed polarity 50 amp camp ground box.
battery pack, both the engine and house due to age.
tires due to age.
We have had the refer quit, trouble shot that myself, and fixed that with a heater element.
we bumped a basement door in a fuel station, parts were waiting for us when we got home, Neighbor bumped the slide and broke some trim, 105 bucks the parts were shipped. I did the repair.
So when you try to say it was extremely rare that a coach will go 15 years with out a warrantee issue, think a gain, the coach we have still has works great, the cabinets are still working perfectly, every door, drawer, and slider works perfectly.
one must remember there will be repairs on all these coaches, time and milage take their toll, but you can't blame Newmar for age related items, items we broke, or misused.
