Luckily, I have not met a rude RV'er even if they were driving a Prevost (even when we had our Monaco).
While I know you have had at least 1 RV prior to purchasing your current $2.1 million dollar Liberty, I find this statement hard to swallow. It's like saying you never met a rude Wal-Mart customer. This Country has gone to HE double hockey sticks in a hand basket and the RV community is no exception. I have been a full timer since 1997 and I actually have seen a rude RVer (or 10). Would you like to hear the story about the RVer who approached me in a Wal-Mart parking lot to let me know I should not have run my generator over-night as it disturbed the other RVers who were staying there? Yep, great folks RVing out there for the most part, but they don't have any kind of an exclusive on being civil.
You know, I would have not said it if it wasn't true (for me). I have not met a rude RV'er. Now, tomorrow is always a new day. Granted, you are out there a lot more than we are as you are a full timer, by shear numbers, you run into a lot more RV'ers than we do.
I have to agree with you, I would have to run my genny too if I was boondocking and it was warm out.
I would also try and not park near anybody but if they park next to me, well, if they do they will hear my genny.
To the poster that said "it gets down to 95 at night", I just couldn't sleep at that temp. I have to have it cold to sleep well. I use a lot of air in my stick and brick but not much heat in the winter (70 degrees in the house in the summer, 65 in the winter).
Safe travels,
MM.
