You know, I would have not said it if it wasn't true (for me). I have not met a rude RV'er. Now, tomorrow is always a new day. Granted, you are out there a lot more than we are as you are a full timer, by shear numbers, you run into a lot more RV'ers than we do.
I have to agree with you, I would have to run my genny too if I was boondocking and it was warm out.
I would also try and not park near anybody but if they park next to me, well, if they do they will hear my genny.
To the poster that said "it gets down to 95 at night", I just couldn't sleep at that temp. I have to have it cold to sleep well. I use a lot of air in my stick and brick but not much heat in the winter (70 degrees in the house in the summer, 65 in the winter).
Safe travels,

At least your generator is quiet. :B
Actually I should clarify; the loud screaming contractor type generators drive me nuts, as do some of the gas generators in some units. Most - not all, diesel generators aren't too bad.
We once camped with a guy who ran his gas generator 24/7. It was terrible. When people mentioned how bad it was, and there were many, he responded "it's not that bad". Apparently after listening to it scream so much he had partial hearing loss. It really was THAT bad.
I have to agree with sailor_lou too. I've always said, I don't care if you run a piece of rope between 2 trees and hang a blue tarp over it, as long as you're having fun you're welcome at our campfire.
Wow...this thread sure has gone
