Also be careful that the issues are indeed Newmar and not another component.
We have a 2001 Kountry Star DP. Bought it new (still have it) and had 3 fairly major issues with it in the first couple of years. Nothing drastic that couldn't be fixed but major to us. Two of the issues were Freightliner and one was Cummins. All issues were taken care of, thru warranty, in a timely manner to our satisfaction.
Since then the only issues we have had have been due to wear and tear and just maintenance. Reseal the roof, fix a blind, replace water a pump, etc.
Sorry but just can't jump on the bash Newmar bandwagon. Maybe some of the older units were made better than newer ones but got to admit we certainly are happy with ours.
