NO, let me explain:
Your service brakes (the brake pedal) is air APPLIED, spring released.True for both front and rear brakes.
Your emergency/parking brake is spring APPLIED, air released. Applies only to rear brakes. That is why there are two "cans" on the rear brakes-- one for service brakes, one for emergency/park brakes. - Tom_BarbExplorer

It's air entering/leaving the brake chambers.

What you are hearing is the air pressure being applied to the brake cans.
or
you have a brake can rod scraping the can. (very doubtful)
OR
You have disk brakes and the caliper squeaking as it releases. ( it will quit ) - K_CharlesExplorerWe had a few trucks that sounded like a sick duck as the air discharged when you let off the brake.
- dpfreemanExplorerDrove it several hundred miles and it makes this sound every time

- Bruce_BrownModeratorOurs squeal when first coming out of the garage. They're always quiet before the end of the driveway.
- TrackrigExplorer IIHow many miles, maybe it's a still being a new "thing"?
Normally on airbrakes, you'll just hear and feel them a little when they release and that's it.
