In all my years RV'ing I have come to this conclusion as well. While I love the idea of boondocking, anything that would cause a fire would be out. Not worth the risk. 2 of my coaches have residential fridges. Our TT still has a working dometic. Once it goes or threatens I'm putting a residential in that.
