Onan emerald III
I have an Emerald III in my 1979 Avco and I was wondering,, that isn't original equipment is it? If not what year was the Emerald III introduced thanks again Tom.

- Oxidized points, their under a green tin cover center right,
on top of the motor - The iii had points and condensor in them in the distributor in the back side of the engine. Also a coil. I dont have the manual anymore. I got quite a bit from onan web site. Now its cummins onan.
- That was the answer I needed. an 87 year model had the emerald III cool. My Avco is a 79 and I bet the Genset was replaced the Hobbs meter is showing 531 hours on it I need to find out why it won't start it has no spark.
