Onan Marquis 7000 - No Output Power

My grandpaw has a 95 Pace Arrow with a Marquis Onan 7000 model 7NHMFH261050 and it has no output power.

The ATS went out a few years ago, and his RV repair guy installed him a 50amp end on the generator to plug the RV power cord straight into instead of replacing the ATS.

That worked for several years with no problems when he ran the generator. Now the generator has no output power at all. The generator starts and runs great still though.

Anyone have any ideas on anything simple that it could be for us to check?

The control fuse end is missing so the 10 amp fuses won't work. I need to replace holder but can't find it.

You are responding to a thread that's 5 years old. Did you have a question? if so, I suggest posting it in a new topic.

  • Should be a breaker on the generator itself - check to see if it's tripped.
  • 2 circuit breakers on the right side as you face the generator. Not out in the open. You'll have to look close.
Also, that generator is an NHM, not NHH..........
I have the same generator on my 95 Bounder.

You are correct with the model. I edited that. I did not see any breakers when I was out there yesterday, but I will certainly take a closer look when I go back, which will be next week as I will be out of town this weekend.

    Thanks!
  • Check the brushes. Years ago friends had one that would run but no output. We took it out and dropped it in my garage. Found one brush cracked. $26.00 later it was working as advertised.

    This.

And I assume you have checked to be sure that the cord is firmly plugged into the gen outlet ??

I have had good dealings with the Onan/Cummins dealer in my area.
