We've had our MH stored in GA since we bought it in 2009. We've never had a snake or Palmetto bug in our camper. We've had Palmetto bugs in the house, but never the camper. We keep our camper in a storage lot that is completely void of trees or any vegetation, which is usually were Palmetto bugs like to be.
The best thing you can do is keep the RV away from vegetation and trees if possible and make sure the grass under the RV is kept low. Also keep food out of the RV that might attract them. Keep in mind Palmetto Bugs do not infest like other types of roaches, so if you see one, that is most likely all there is.
About the only thing we've had in our camper is spiders and it doesn't seem possible to keep those buggers out.
