- Monaco_MontclaiExplorerWe always get a pull through site, so yes for us level is good, and still hooked up,now it's all happy-camping
- holstein13ExplorerI do this all the time. That's the reason most folks get pull through sites when they can.
The only time that bothered me was when the rear was very low and the rear jacks had to come up a lot. I could hear the tow bar squealing as I raised the coach. Ultimately, it was fine though. - fcooperExplorerWe do it all the time.
Just be sure to leave the toad configured so that it can move slightly when the coach is leveled and then when the jacks are retracted.
Fred - lostscoutExplorerAs with the others the answer is yes. But do not forget to turn the key off in your toad or the battery will run down.

Soo. If we are stopping overnight... can we dump the tanks and level with the jeep still attached?
Well the correct answer is Yes, No, Maybe. You must unhook for a backin site. A pull through site might not be long enough to stay hooked. You may not be able to reach the utilities when hooked up, but it's always a good idea to carry extensions for all hookups.
Or... if we are close to level, don't send down the jacks but still put out the slides? Do what your mfg recommends.
What does everyone else do? It doesn't matter - not all rigs are the same. - sdianel_-acct_cExplorerif your hitch is set up properly you should be able to dump the tanks and level with no problem keeping the toad hooked up.
- AllegroDNomadDepends on where you are stopping but it does not hurt your setup.
- Thunder_MountaiExplorer IIYep, doing it right now.
- BumpyroadExplorerI used to level without unhooking the toad if it was just overnight.
bumpy - jlabr2ExplorerYep. Not a problem.
