Last Friday we got on the PA Turnpike pulling our Equinox as we have done since we got it in 2013. I never bothered getting EZ-Pass for the rig so I always went thru the cash lanes. While entering the toll booth cash only lane to get my ticket, the ticket machine would not spit out a ticket. I hit the call button and shortly after an attendant arrived to tell me that the toll reader had actually read the transponder that was in my Equinox and that I would be charged the correct amount for the combined weight/axles of the rig and the toad.
Duh, this was the first time I tried towing the Equinox with a transponder in it, didn't realize that it would work that way.
