Parking on a steeper incline.

We had to move our mh to a different spot because of drainage issues. The new area is on a somewhat steep incline. Could I park with the rear wheels on the down side so the door/steps are closer to the ground? Would it be safe the jack up the rear to the maximum on an incline?

Presently we pulled in forward and raised the front up to the max for
leveling purposes. But we have to "Watch out for that first step! It's a DOOZY!"

ABSOUTLY NOT SAFE if you're suggesting that he wheels be off of the ground. Never ever have your rear axle with the ebrake off of the ground. You can drive up on blocks and be OK.

We have a small fold up step for use as needed.

I agree and definitely not a good thing with using your leveling jacks for a parking brake.

I have the kick down HWH jacks at have roll off of the jacks when parking on a steep incline. If it was in the driveway I would use something under the tires like blocks. Maybe the straight acting jacks are safer.
  • Do whatever it takes to get rig reasonably level IF operating fridge.

Damage to fridge occurs within 15-20 mins when operated off level, is accumulative and permanent.

If can't get rig reasonably level without tires being in the air............MOVE or turn fridge off.
  • Mine isn't super steep but not level either - I use some boards under the rear tires to help bring it more level and a portable step stool to make it easy to get in/out of the rig.
