I had what sounds like the exact same problem a couple of years ago -- but in a Mandalay on Freightliner chassis, so little in common with yours. I could track the wires through the floor, but then they disappeared, and I couldn't identify a fuse or other issue. I ended up running a jumper under the floor from the driver's side, and have had no problem since.
