Patty Room- old to new installation

We have a 2015 Thor Chateau. We also have the add-a-room from Patty Room/Dometic from that previous unit. We want to install room to our new unit. The previous unit required snaps to be permanently attached to the sidewall of the coach. We know this room will fit as we have already checked measurements, etc.
Our question is:
Is there a better way to attach sides without using permanent snaps?

Is self stick industrial Velco(matching color of course) a better option?

Any ideas? Or any suggestions of what worked for you?

Thanks,
  • are the snaps on the room such that you could just stick magnetic dots on the RV to avoid drilling? attach the snaps to lengths of that white non-wood boards/molding and then use silicone seal to attach molding to RV, although IMHO silicone seal doesn't have a use in RVing, here it might.
Just remembered I have seen snaps mounted on sticky backing to hold an outside windshield cover on.
