Patty O Rooms???

anyone have or use a patio o room that attaches to your awning? if so how do they hold up in the wind or do they have to be taken down whenever a windy day occurs?
thanks

Thanks for the reply's, will have to give this a second thought.
No "Patty O Room" for you?
  • I'm a seasonal camper, and my screen room goes up in May and comes down in Oct. I would say 50% of the seasonals in my CG have one. If I was a weekender, I wouldn't bother.
  • We had one when we lived in our Class 'C' full time in 1998. It was ok wind wise but kind of a pain to setup. I wouldn't bother having one again....but I am getting older and lazier too.....
  • I had one on our first trailer. it held up fine in the wind, never had an issue. I even used it on weekend trips. yes it takes a little bit to put up about a half hour, but it is very easy. the only reason I don`t have it anymore is we got a trailer with a slide and didn`t need the extra enclosed space anymore.

I sold it to a guy in FL.

I tried one and what a pain. If you are going to just weekend camp, they take awhile to put up just to take them back down again. They stake to the ground but depending on the wind, they can take off if the awing does. If you want a enclosed bug free area, get a 10x10 popup tent that basically sets itself up and comes down easy.

X2 I have one and spent an entire winter in florida trying to make it immune to the wind and finally gave up.
