Go to home depot or lowes, search for a roll 4ftx24ft insulation barrier. foil on both sides with bubble wrap in the middle. Don't care how you install it or hang it. But it would work better on the outside. This will keep the heat out, make rig dark and will allow the AC to work efficiency. We live outside of Apache Junction, base of the Superstition mountains and know too well about the heat. But this stuff really works. Summer = Outside, Winter = inside.
How would you guys recommend attaching the foil/bubble wrap insulation to the outside of the coach?
As long as you have external window covers, just slide it up under the cover - putting it on the outside of the window is 100% better then being on the inside - but it assumes that you have outside covers.
No window covers on my coach. any suggestions as to how to secure the foil/bubble wrap material to the outside of the windows?
You are actually thinking of putting duct tape on the outside of your coach? :E
By gawd just pick up several van windshield sun shades from Walmart. They fit 'perfectly' under the day night shades. No tape no velcro. Will cut the sun coming in dramatically and can be removed easily.
Yes you can sit in a MH in extreme heat conditions BUT you have to cover each and every window and roof vent, and cover the entire front windshield. It's like sitting in a dark cave 24 7's. 3 or 4 AC units is still not going to get the job done. This isn't your stick built house back home. Anyway you look at it it's a vehicle. With a very big windshield and side windows that are not thermopane.
Did it ONCE will never do it again in a MH. Anyway you look at it sitting in a blackened out MH all day and night is IMHO not my idea of having fun RV'ing. Just saying.
