Pilot Flying J

Filled up the 80 gallon M/H tank at a Pilot this morning and was notified later in the day by my credit card company to verify the charge. It appears Pilot reversed the initial charge for which I have a receipt and upped the charge an additional $50. Called Pilot customer service but their accounts receivable dept. is closed until 8:00 AM. Has anyone had a problem like this. Anyone have any thoughts.

    I get gas at Pilot on the way to work at least once a month and have never had a problem. In expectation of traveling extensively in a few years with a new RV I also got the GS Pilot card and have never had a problem with that either.

    I use the RV Plus card and never had an issue...while J might not be the cheapest on the block , we get in , get out, have a place to park and are able to walk the dogs...wife picks up something for dinner later that night at the Denny's and we are on our way...without access worries...2nd choice is Speedway/Hess, but no pay at the pump..

    Another user that's never had a problem with Flying J...and we use them almost exclusively coast to coast.....Dennis

    Get a Flying J Good Sam CC, you'll get about 7 cents off below cash price, and you don't have to go inside to start the diesel pumps at the truck islands.

    Wow.. I've never had that happen before at a Pilot... or any other gas station for that matter.

    Yes, that is pretty much what they did to me. The card never left my hand, pay at the pump. I put a lock on my card until I speak to a Pilot representative. Credit card company suggested I call Pilot for an explanation. I will contest the charge if I don't get a reversal immediately. Pretty shady operation if you ask me. I'll think twice before using a Pilot pay at the pump again.

    Bad advise - get the location manager on the phone

    I would call and put a stop on that card until I found out what was happening. Sounds like your card may have been double swiped. Tell you credit card company that it been used without authorization and ask them to investigate also. Do not call the store where it was used.
