Hate seeing that wish it could have been avoided

That is a shame. I cringe sometimes when another MH passes me doing well over seventy. But a blow out at 60 would also be bad. Just hope that brake pedal won't temp me if it ever does happen.

Here is another one that happened last week with a better outcome. Not that it would have made a difference but they had a Safe T Plus sitting at home they were going to install when they returned.

Dang....hate to read this, but it is a good reminder to make sure everything is in good operating order before taking flight. Having had 2 blowouts on the rear (one because of an old tire and one was a faulty NEW tire), I'm extra cautious about tires now and make sure pressures and dates and overall conditions are good before every launch. I also installed a TPMS, but not sure what it would have told me prior to either of my blowouts.

Very sad, I agree not too sure how much a TPMS would have helped with this. I had blow out a few years ago on TT we had, was an eye opening experience. Prayers for the family involved.

Been doing this long enough now to know there are a lot of guys out there that shouldn't be. Not saying this is one of them, but it does make me wonder what the whole story is.

I've seen a lot of RV'ers (me included) hit road debris, pot holes, and curbs. Guessing some may do it more often then others based on their reaction time and eyesight. A tire will suffer from early failure if abused beyond the engineers specs even if new and fully inflated.

If it wasn't for the Blizzard back in January, I very well could have been a statistic. I was going to drive from NJ to Jayco in Indiana for some upgrades and a warranty issue. (By the way Jayco so far has been nothing but awesome to deal with, more on that when the story has a conclusion) anyway, I had severe Heart Attack, 100% blockage of the LAD, The infamous Widow Maker. It didn't feel like what I thought a Heart attack would have felt like, started off feeling like some intestinal distress. I would have been driving alone. But as fate would have it the snow stopped my trip, and my wife who is an RN saved my life. Had a cath procedure and a stent placed. One never knows what's in store for us. I was very shocked at the heart attack since I am in decent shape, I run half marathons and such. Safe driving to all my fellow forum folks.

TPMS is good insurance on preventing a driver from unknowingly continuing down the road on a tire that is leaking. A good TPMS can warn you before the tire is driven on to the point of having a sidewall blowout.
