Well gang,
Learn something every day. The first thing here is, determine just which wind sensor one has. I've got the little "cap" on the roof that was the original one but, not in use any more. Now, with the Weather Pro unit I've got, I have the sensor in the tip of the awing arm, next to the motor. It's the kind that detect flapping of the fabric and shaking of the arm. So far, that sensor has worked flawless, each and every time.
We've left the awning out while bicycle riding around the paved park and noticed some light to moderate gusts of wind every now and then. When we got back to our rig, the awning was nicely retracted. So far, so good.
