look carefully at how the hitch is attached. if it's bolted/welded directly to the frame, it should be ok. However if it's like mine and attached by various plates and brackets, be careful how much you attach to it. mine looks ok from the outside, but underneath it's a mess. Towing specialist I went to said no way to towing a car trailer. and that's a factory installed unit. the bumper is 2' behind the end of the chassis rails.
