- ed6713ExplorerI've used one for years. Works just fine. About once a year, I remove the system, give it a good look over and reinstall it. Each time I've done so, the battery electrolyte was where it should be
Ed - smlrangerExplorerI used that system on two boats I had and on my previous motorhome. They worked fine. Just make sure you don't squeeze the bulb to add water until after you are sure the batteries are at full charge.
Have AGM's on current coach so don't need it now. - Big_KatunaExplorer IIThe only problem I have had is that the bulb cracked and squirted water out after 3-4 years. You can buy replacement hose and bulbs online for about $20. I couldnt find just the bulb. Had to buy the hose, check valve and bulb complete.
- revumpExplorerLove mine ... 6 batteries ... works fine
- LVJ58ExplorerHad our Pro-Fill installed Jan 2006 still works great, cost back then was $175.00 for a 6 battery bank.
- Don_DonExplorerOne of the best additions I have made.
- Grant_LassonExplorerYes. It was fairly difficult to top off the batteries without it. I want to get a good, long life out of the batteries so I hope it will be worth it.
- Big_KatunaExplorer IIWell, that is the benefit. My battery tray doesn't slide out, so to fill them meant first taking all the tops off, then trying to top them off without much room above them. The NAPA battery filler didn't work; it never filled properly so I used a small funnel and spilled water everywhere. Then I had to wedge my head in the space with a flashlight to check the level. Usually either under or over filling them.
Bottom line was it was such a pain I rarely did it.
Now I connect the hose to the pump, stick the hose into a gallon of distilled water, pump a half dozen times and I'm done. Plus, as stated, they don't evaporate off as much.
