You might want to check on The RV Plus Charge Card. With that you get 6 cents off of diesel and 4 cents off of gas from the cash price.

The RV Plus Charge Card also starts the pump in the truck lanes. But as an added benefit you do not need to go in to pay. Your fuel is charged to you RV Plus Charge Card account. You can just leave as soon as you are done fueling, no need to go inside to the fuel desk. If you want a receipt, just go in as usual, find the fueling kiosk, swipe you card and print your receipt right there. No more waiting in line to pay or get a receipt. It works great!

The RV Plus Charge Card is not a 'revolving charge' the balance MUST be paid every billing cycle. Your credit limit is determined by automatic payment from a checking account or a manual debit of a checking account.

We too always use the truck lanes. DW goes inside with the other CC in case it cuts off at some preset limit. We have tanks on both sides so the slave pumps are a primo benefit at the truck islands. When fueling, I always set the slave at a faster fill so it will finish first and then know when the driver's side is full, I'm completely topped off. Make sure to pull the hoses out of the way when you're done fueling and pull forward to let trucks behind to start. Often get comments or thumbs up on our rig from the OTR drivers. Also when there are lines, often will get trucks behind us earlier than other lanes since most know we will top our tanks quicker than the semi's with their much larger tanks.

I always use the truck lanes. In the truck lanes, I do not worry about the space or trying to make a turn when someone has parking in front of me to go into the store. I have had problems with foaming so I slow the rate down when it get close to being full.

DP are typically longer so they have more problems at a gas island for fueling

But, if DP uses the truck lanes it is much, much easier to fuel as there is enough room to drive a truck through it.

Being able to fuel with in truck lanes is one reason to buy fred or dp

Glad it works for you as it did with our gasser but we chose a larger DP rig and with the toad there are limits.

I wouldn't trade rigs - Check on the side of diesel. :B

Yes AZ has additional truck fuel tax. Two options for the truck lanes:
1. When you go inside to start the pump tell them you are a RV. This must be done before you start to pump.
2. My Pilot/FJ Frequent Fueler RV card starts the pump and sets to price to 3 cents less than the RV/Auto cash price. The Loves card is similar.

In either case I also use my PenFed CC and get 5% cash back on the next bill. In fact the PenFed CC is the one I use for fuel at any station including our cars.

I've only used truck lanes. Seems like the car lanes at truck stops aren't made for a Big rig to negotiate the turns. And I don't have the patience for the slower filling pumps. Part of my routine is to have slip on shoes and wet wipes by the door. Hands and shoes get kinda greasy at the truck pumps. A few times I've seen other RVers with disposable shoe covers or gloves.
